Bazball doesn't always work for England - but it is still a more attractive style than what they previously offered

For India, it’s a gone story now…no seam bowling all-rounder will hurt them badly in the absence of Shami. Once the two pacers are done, the spinners will be targeted. Besides, Rohit’s captaincy is a bit lackluster to be honest in the longer format. Everyone saw how the Indian A team performed today….107 all out….I guess the seniors will honor them as well in the coming months
Australia’s ageing squad may have peaked but Dad’s Army are holding up well compared to India’s fading fathers
India’s only chance are in Sydney and Melbourne
The task is cut out for the under-cooked India ahead of this trip Down Under
It’s already looking dull at this moment, I don’t think they have any to take that slot- either they go in with two genuine spinners or they will slot in another batsman
India's pace dilemma: Can a dependable third seamer be found ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy?
Not having a seam-bowling all-rounder will hurt this time. The middle-order can fire on their day but there’s no guarantee of their consistency.
The task is cut out for the under-cooked India ahead of this trip Down Under
I won’t be surprised if they are out of the Test Championship final altogether…they have been terrible this series

Winning at home is the safest bet. The last two away series victories are- vs Zimbabwe in 2021 and vs New Zealand in 2011
Dizzy's dilemmas: Plenty for Pakistan to ponder as Shafique and Rizwan's poor form endures
I guess it’s easier said than done. Pakistan has built-in volatility (which is sometimes treated as dynamism) which prevents any such long-term action. Sometimes, they don’t give enough opportunities or else they just try to prolong a career for god’s sake.
Dizzy's dilemmas: Plenty for Pakistan to ponder as Shafique and Rizwan's poor form endures
True…he was taking things for granted…. still an asset given the team’s overally lack of quality
Shakib al-Hasan's failed political life has led to fan toxicity across Bangladesh and it's now marring the cricket performance
Selection gambles on the basis of quota restrictions will not leave SA too well. It’s time for some kind of inspiration and performance…I think rassie is the perfect fit
Time to give Rassie van der Dussen a chance at Test captaincy
I think Elgar’s an option, however he hasn’t been of the same form of late. His captained once in Lords and well that was miserable. I just think it will be an added burden.
Time to give Rassie van der Dussen a chance at Test captaincy
Well if they are associated with Antifa they will.
I mean I say the same thing, you don’t have institutional racism in the US, there’s no piece of US legislation that defends what happened to George Floyd. Rather in the aftermath of this instance, the police officer concerned was summoned, suspended and is now out of service facing a trial.
White genocide in South African farms is the very reason why countries like Russia are offering land to immigrant Afrikaners communities. Australia and New Zealand are also taking good numbers of those leaving SA for the very same reason.
South Africa is heading Zimbabwe’s way and there’s no stopping it
Absolutely but that’s what crippling the performances of the national team. Government backed selection polices are the very reason besides dwindling salaries which have led to his talent Drain.
South Africa is heading Zimbabwe’s way and there’s no stopping it
That’s not systemic racism…. there’s no US law that defends that….these are lone instances….if you read the Gallop statistics, the chances of a black man shooting another black guy is 2:1 compared to a police officer shooting a black guy
South Africa is heading Zimbabwe’s way and there’s no stopping it
Well that’s the thing….show me a single institution or regulation/law in the US at this point which is racist in intent?
South Africa is heading Zimbabwe’s way and there’s no stopping it
White genocide in South African farms is actually documented by RT, AFP and by several international journals like Bram Vermuelen.
BLM is currently fighting to end systemic racism, which has been wiped out of the US since the 70s.
Exodus of people during Apartheid was not related to sports but now it is.

Conte wants a certain profile of players and that’s why he trusts his old dogs in Vidal. I still think Hakimi is a player to improve, and they got some good signings up for the task in Serie A. But definitely this season is like now or never
Will a silverware-less season spell the end for Antonio Conte at Inter?
Interestingly that is what Africa has been to Europe both in terms of football and cricket. Talent Drain!
South Africa is heading Zimbabwe’s way and there’s no stopping it
I don’t think so.
Greame Smith is the only former white player to come forward. Kallis,Paul Harris, Langeveldt have all stayed away. Boucher now has to work with black coaches to make the coaching staff more inclusive.
The FC cricket is a shamble only at par with West Indies and Pakistan.
The ANC’s intervention is only going to complicate matters and turn the entire operations section under the purview of the government which will see more aggressive quotas.
Finally even if Kolpak deals are no available they will still get chances in the lower tier T20 leagues around the world.
South Africa is heading Zimbabwe’s way and there’s no stopping it
Reverse racism is in full swing in the Republic and the country is going bankrupt , at least that’s all the naked eye can see.
South Africa is heading Zimbabwe’s way and there’s no stopping it
Exactly at least with Azhar, Shan and Asad you can say that they are technically better to face the likes of Broad and Anderson…..Fawad is at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Was Fawad Alam ready for Southampton?
When i talk about Asad, Misbah or for the fact Azhar, their averages till 2017 outside Asia was over 30; since 2007, only Pakistani players till 2017 had combined averages over 30 in SENA countries. That’s speaks for a fact. Even Younis had less than 30 in that period.
Fawad Alam, for all the praise that we sing, is definitely not in that bracket. He is more like the Khurram Manzoor who failed to establish himself after the Sri Lanka series; and as for his first class stats, it only sky rocketed post 2014 Asia Cup.
First innings in Southampton was a big disappointment and the ironic thing is, this time around it was not his temperament which failed him, but his technique. If he plays the next game(hope he’s not) the series will become a nightmare to forget.
Was Fawad Alam ready for Southampton?
Alam is no Misbah for one thing.Selecting a player in the squad on the basis of public outcry is no good sign, besides whom did Fawad replace in this Test -Shadab Khan, really? That’s how poor this selection was for the match and judging by his stance, his more akin to Dom Sibley and Nick Crompton and even worse rather than closer to Chanderpaul. And what’s wrong to suggest that he’s a flat track bully, I guess you should take a look at this year’s Quaid-e-Azam trophy.
Maybe I should add this as well- players like Khurram Manzoor, Fawad Alam never got a chance in the team not cause they didn’t score big in Quiad-e-Azam, it was purely because they never showed the temperament in English or South African conditions, unlike the heavily-scrutinized Asad Shafiq or for that matter, Azhar Ali as well.

I told you so mate, ever since the start of the Australian series in 2016, he’s way better than De Villiers, who’s more of a mercenary, earning 15 million a year plus cherry-picking the games he wanna play; I mean he’s one of those who will go along to get along, never admitted the guilt of choosing Philander over Abbott in the 2015 semi-final
Proteas exposing England's Ashes frailties
It’s difficult to replicate the tenacity of some of the 80s and 90s cricketers. Modern cricketers, be openers or middle-order (unless they are past 30), will stay volatile and will be exceptional on their day. You cannot expect them to be dogged and consistent. They are a breed themselves.
