I’m hoping Sexton really kicks on this year and becomes a “keeper”. As a life-long Dogs fan I’m happy with what he’s shown so far. He may have learned a bit from Kieran Foran at the Titan’s. Though not quite as suicidally brave, he is more than happy to take one for the team if the pass isn’t on. That’s a commodity that has been sorely lacking in recent seasons. He just needs to play his role by putting the runners into space. He actually isn’t a bad ball runner himself at times either.

I’m guessing you got your syntax slightly wrong and you meant “no respect for the Roosters for the way they treated Crichton”. Personally, I was dumbfounded. Easts have been praised long-term for their canny recruitment but at the time they tried to recruit Fifita, Angus had already demonstrated that he was getting back to his best. Fifita has never been within a bull’s roar of that level.
OTOH, I reckon they will be repaid in spades by Nawaqanitawase. I won’t be surprised if this bloke makes Origin in year 1.

Probably. I liked the comments re the similarly aged RT-S. He did OK when you consider the fact that he was directed to play 12 when he’d played all his RL as an outside back – one of the best of his era. Sam Burgess was similarly forced to play in an unfamiliar role. May have done better if he had had Johnny Wilkinson as his 10 like SBW. I think Manu will succeed; but the AB’s is a big goal. They are not too short of stocks.

That’s true but on the plus side Norths have established pathways which WA lacks. Could be a threat to the Force pathways programme as well.

There’s something mesmerising in watching class sprinters who run with eplosive power plus the relaxed long stride of a 400m athlete. Marlene Ottey, Elaine Thompson, Bolt. GG has that potential.

It might be WR “giving the ABs a bone” if they actually picked the squad.

I’ve followed the Dogs and a little lees so The Bunnies for about 60 years and I’ve always been happy if they are playing well and putting in. The odd Premiership is just icing but that’s all.
In Ricky’s case the old ‘That wasn’t us out there” seems ok by those who count.
Mostly I get pissed off when the prima donna’s get to continue not putting in while the bloke who worked the hardest is unemployed

Bateman is a handy player but seems his comlicated personal situation sees him continually unsettled and not performing. If you’re looking for reasons Luai won those clauses just look at the names signed since.

Daley not so good at the presser? Maybe he should have said “Been out a while but we’re still Blues”
I was a bit surprised but on reflection I’m pretty comfortable with the coaching team.
On a side note; I’m more surprised that Adrian Lam never gets much attention whenever the NRL coaching roundabout cranks up. His UK record is really good.
Daley should never have been a candidate - Why can't NSW develop a fresh coach for Origin?
I get your point. But as you pointed out Mal Meninge always had experienced assistants. That role will be Matt King & Bellyache. To your doubts re selections; Daley was asked specifically whether Bellamy will have a say in that. Answer “yes”. I’d bet London to a brick he’ll have a helluva lot more input than that. So I’m hopeful things will be ok.

I agree. BTW what qualified Josh A-C as a “serial mug”? I seem to recall a low level firearms offence at Latrell’s farm but apart from that he’s been a popular character.
I think much more serious offences deserve commensurate outcomes, though.
Kick them out: If NRL are serious about improving game’s image, players should face real punishment for off-field incidents
I wonder if Chris Orr can see the irony in his whining about a leaked memo. Given that agents routinely use the tactic to leverage ever higher percentages for themselves with the clubs wearing the cost. If it wasn’t so ridiculous it’d be hilarious.
