Have worked with a lot of Kiwis and some (not all, most are good) are bad losers, & worse winners. i find many commentators to be poor these days, so i bung Pink Floyd on the stereo & crank up the volume while watching. Some former players should never be allowed anywhere near a microphone for an interview let along being a commentator. all good mate, good to have a b1tch from time to time to let it all out. still stoked the AB’s didn’t win RWC23!

well wokeness has hit the NZ commentators. Wasn’t too many years ago whenever the AB’s lost you would never hear 1 word of praise for the opposition, how they outplayed them or whatever, all you’d hear was “what went wrong? what didn’t we execute properly” etc, I’d argue their less than perfect record in recent years has been due to the use of the TMO, now they must play by the same rules as everyone else & get pinged for calls they got away with in the past. and on a positive note – am glad to hear I’m not your mate. good that is 1 thing we can agree on

yep. looks like he does a bit of a 2 step shimmy where he stumbles & drops. you could argue almost every tackle could be head high as players charge head first at lower body height. got to wonder if aggressive tacklers are targeted or viewed differently in cases like this

some would say that commentators commentate for their viewing audience which in Wilsons case would be those back home. Which then makes you wonder why would they keep spouting superlatives every time an AB catches a ball passed onto their chest when everyone across the ditch knows how choice they are and that the AB’s are the bist

yeah, 6Ntn – Italy are in that awkward position – too good for the tier below, not quite good enough / consistent enough for the tier above. Ireland have been having a good run over the past few years, Scots & Welsh – never know who will turn up, bit like the Frogs & the Poms can have a few barry crockers where based on playing numbers they should be winning the 6Ntn more often. Wallabies on a bit of a hiding to nothing & wouldn’t do a coaches win % much good when you play NZ & SAf so often, the 2 most dominant nations & the Argies are consistent & can give some upsets

last i saw it’s the TMO who mkes the call on yellow to red fouls. Just as Wayne Barnes wasn’t responsible for the decision to upgrade Sam Canes in the RWC final. Doesn’t stop him being the one who cops the flack by keyboard warriors tho’

mate I’m looking at a paused video before contact – the welsh players left thigh is almost horizontal, his right knees approx 6-8 inches off the ground, his head is below the shoulder height of a welsh player next to him & its around the sponsors logo height which is lower sternum. Kerevis legs are bent & his body is almost 90 degrees & the top of his head hits the bloke in the jaw. How much lower do you want him to try to be? maybe he should lay on the ground next time yeah?

in the video the welsh players head height is approx at the same height as the welsh sponsors logo on the player to his left, & that logo is lower sternum height – before the hit. the players head is below the shoulders of the welsh player on his left – & Kerevis almost bent 90 degrees

looking on the youtyoob highlights video – the welsh players right knee is approx 6 inches off the ground & his left thigh is just off horizontal before the hit. To me that means his melons now pretty low to the ground compared to if he was upright. & Kerevi’s bent at the waist @ almost 90 degrees & the top of his melons hit him in the jaw. Don’t know how much lower the refs want them to get when it happens in a second or 2
