Rothfield holds Union with such disdain he seems to have convinced himself and those who will believe any old tosh he writes, that it is just a matter of turning up for the NRL boys. Ask Timana Tahu, Nathan Blacklock, Benji Marshall how their code switch went

Wallabies on Brown's radar as Eels star casts wide net in search for new mega deal

I agree I’ve never been sold in this guy at all despite the huge Fox/Nine hype

'Leaked within minutes': Agent slams NRL clubs after Eels star shopped to rivals

Love the inclusion of Brad Parker in this piece Tony. As you say he put everything into every game he played despite his not being the most gifted player. All heart

Brilliant playmaker, fearless leader and Hank Scorpio: NRL players who retired with heads held high

I really like Lachlan Croker as a player and individual but, even though his defence is great and he is skilful, he still looks like someone filling in at 9. Understanding that he started life as a 6 and is still a handy half, I just wonder how much better this Manly side would get on with an out and out high class hooker.

Rating each NRL club’s spine: The usual heavyweights are strong again, but the wooden spooners could shock in 2025

and had one fight with a tree which he lost 😂 😂 😂

One-hit wonders: The Broncos players who never got a second game

not sure how you’ve arrived at that conclusion but fair to say, no objectivity was used

Roosters star reacts to rugby switch 'rumours' - whipped up by his own manager

Problem he has is that there are a plethora of better wingers in the Premiership right now. Freeman, Sleighthome, Roebuck, Hassel Collins, Feyi Waboso just to name a few

Albert was a great player but I can think of a couple of minutes in 1997 GF when he was one of my least favourite players to ever pull on a boot 😂

Knights' greatest team of NRL era: Joey, Gids, Butts are all there, but who misses out?

Johns is one of the best to have ever played the game. Living proof that you don’t have to be a good bloke to be a great player

Knights' greatest team of NRL era: Joey, Gids, Butts are all there, but who misses out?

I thought it was just my having overindulged with xmas cheer that stopped me from understanding the laundry list of non connected names and cases😂 😂
On the actual subject however, Milford returning to the Broncs system, if the opportunity presents itself, could see Hunt and Milford re united, ten years after their GF in 2015

Milford goes 'full circle' with return to Broncos feeder club

They were unlucky definitely with those awful and inconsistent decisions but in those games you make your own luck.

'You kid yourself': Ex-All Blacks coach's classy response to Hansen's 'we were robbed' World Cup final whine

Hard to get in this line up when Dylan Edwards misses out 😂 . Personally I would’ve found a spot for Joe Gulavau but can’t find anyone he’d replace

The Iceman, TP, Fish and Rhys Lightning: Penrith Panthers’ greatest team of the NRL era would take some beating

More dangerous than Afghanistan: NRL’s PNG expansion team doomed to fail as players will snub crime capital

Very sobering perspective that needs to be reasoned through. Unfortunately, when politicians and sporting bodies come together with the unrealistic goal of protecting a state against Chinese expansionism through sport, chaos and misinformation ensues.

More dangerous than Afghanistan: NRL’s PNG expansion team doomed to fail as players will snub crime capital

Even as a New South Welshman, I really like the idea of Kiss in the top job.. i think he has paid his dues and seems to be respected in most quarters.

Schmidt's old right-hand man emerges as favourite to take over Wallabies if Kiwi calls time after Lions

I can’t think of a better performed player in the last five years. Very well deserved, the bloke is a champion

Kangaroos star breaks seven-year drought for Aussies by winning Golden Boot

Yes good luck to those thinking the Chinese will be deterred with their expansionist agenda because we have set up a footy team 😂 . To be honest I am happy for PNG but there are far bigger issues that need to be fixed in the game right here in grass roots and pathways

Political football: Key China clause revealed in $600m deal as NRL confirms PNG expansion

I think the NFL is great for producing players that are fit and superbly conditioned to the game they play in short bursts lasting a few minutes. The lack of success that Hayne, Holmes had with the game was nothing to do with their ability but their inability to play within such a restrictive structure. As far as I recall only one player attempted the switch in reverse… Manfred Moore with Newtown in the seventies and he bombed badly

'I don't want any regrets': Two-time World Cup Wallaby confirms audacious NFL bid

I suspect that the “game first” attitude comes from being united as a sport that has always lived on the fringes in the UK. There’s nothing more motivating than a fight for survival. I remember the Souths protests having a similar effect here when they were petitioning to be reinstated. There should be more of that attitude on an ongoing basis here.

From NRL reject to the toast of the Super League: Did impatience cost Parra a generational talent?

Zero.. the only thing evidently entrenched here is the notion that there is no better number 10 available.

Wallabies ratings: Great white hope's 'panic' moment proves costly, Lolesio's flawless kicking game

“Looking more comfortable running the show for the Wallabies”??? Which game were you watching?

Wallabies ratings: Great white hope's 'panic' moment proves costly, Lolesio's flawless kicking game

Not many would’ve predicted 2:2 with a surprise win and a narrow loss to quality opposition before this series so massive improvement under Schmidt. Now if only we had a 9 and, more importantly a 10

Wallabies left heartbroken as Ireland stage stunning second-half comeback to win in Dublin

He played just like he has in all previous 27 tests.. not international standard

Wallabies left heartbroken as Ireland stage stunning second-half comeback to win in Dublin

Ob well there’s plenty who seem to think a 28 test player should be given even more time to settle. 😂 😂 😂 😂 You never know when he gets jumper 100 he might just start to see a little bit of form

Wallabies left heartbroken as Ireland stage stunning second-half comeback to win in Dublin

Lolesio still gets another cap? There are so many better players who have played less than 28 tests
