AJ Brimson will not be sanctioned over a social media post that appeared to display a history of gambling on NRL matches.
The Gold Coast flyer posted a screenshot of a five-figure winning bet on Melbourne Cup victor Knight’s Choice that also showed past wagers on rugby league but was adamant the bet came from his mother’s account.
The Titans on Thursday confirmed Brimson had been cleared of any wrongdoing following an NRL investigation into the matter.
“The Titans can confirm following all relevant enquiries relating to a social media post on AJ Brimson’s Instagram account, the NRL has found no evidence to indicate Brimson has breached the gambling provisions of the NRL Code of Conduct,” read a club statement.
“No further comment will be provided on the matter.”
