So Crichten deserved to stay on the field after injuring RTS? Exactly where were your precious Dogs denied penalties that were so rightfully theirs? I lost the cohesion of tge game in between your players launching shoulders at the Wah’s heads

Big deal! He’ll get two games with the early plea. Should have been rubbed out for four

And yes I did, and if you read his sarcastic, patronising and condescending bile, you’ll see why he is

Yes but it’s not about the ones they got, it’s about the ones they should have got. RTS was knocked out of the game and Crichton stays on. They had to reshuffle their whole side after that.

Threw them back in retaliation…but sorry…what does it have to do with you?

Well if we’re going to be accurate here, you made it about Manly, not me. I was talking about inconsistencies in the officiating and how I don’t feel it’s believable that it just happens that the refereeing changes from Thursday to Friday so much. The nonsense from the ref and bunker last night had to seen and heard to be believed. “Mitigating circumstances” for a shoulder to the head and no wrapping arms?!?! Barnett gets his head split for another shoulder and only got referred, put on report and penalised because he actually motioned to the Bunker to say ‘what game are they watching?” Even with 7 minutes to go and no chance of victory to the Wah’s, the ref had to be dragged kicking and screaming to give them a penalty.
Five and a Kick: Impostor Broncos keep finals hopes alive, refs 'don't know what they're doing' as lucky Dogs sink Warriors
Ok then. Explain THAT officiating. Explain the run of 6 penalties after Manly got out to 16-0. As I said before, teams leading by that much don’t suddenly see their discipline go out the window because what they are doing is working so why change it? Why the three binnings? Bullemor was simply holding his ground at the scene of the tackle. The Tigers crept up on the Eagles after each tackle, adding another 10 metres to each set. He wasn’t slow in getting off. He got to his feet using the Tigers player to get up. If that’s a Sin Bin then there should be at least 10 a game. Olakalatu hit shoulder to shoulder as opposed to RTS and Barnett who were hit shoulder to head. Barnett’s one wouldn’t have even been referred to the Bunker and penalised had he not motioned to the ref. The one that was legit, Wardell, was still less severe than what Crichton did. So call me conspiracy theorist if you want, but can you explain in the space of 24 hours how two games can be officiated so differently? As far the clash next week, Manly v Dogs would still have the same significance, but as I already said, as it’s been talked about elsewhere by other Roarers, the Tigers winning sets up a challenge last round for the Eels and Tigers to win and avoid the spoon. As for your Insults, look back through your posts where you don’t just refute my assertions, you ridicule my opinion.

Getting sick of repeating myself. Yes,with regard to that game, I think Gough had an agenda. There is no other way to explain that officiating when you look at what the Bulldogs got away with. Could you fathom why Gough would get another this year after that, other than to consider that he got the result the NRL wanted. But as I said to your little buddy Tony, you could have debated this without the swipes to my intelligence. Could have been an interesting chat but we’ll never know. Thanks for ruining what has been a fun experience up to now.

Was not you attempting to have the last word? All this to and fro could have been avoided had you and your little tag-team mate Barry not decided to launch personal attacks on me. I have no problem with posters disagreeing with, it’s great fun usually. But when you start with the tin foil hat, flat earther comments, that is plain insulting. Thanks for ruining what up to now has been quite good fun

Well you would know. Your supermarket is definitely short of a few trolleys. But realisation and acceptance is the first step to combating mental health issues. Good for you in that regard!

That was actually to Tony when he quoted me out of context, not yourself. But tell me, what part of what I say is crackpot? I never said conspiracy, you did.
Five and a Kick: Impostor Broncos keep finals hopes alive, refs 'don't know what they're doing' as lucky Dogs sink Warriors
No, not from you. Your post just missed the point entirely, made false assertions and deductions based on what I said and applied some sweeping judgements like I was implying Manly were part of a NRL anti-Manly conspiracy, something that made no sense considering I was replying to another Roarer whose point, that I agree with, that the Warriors are officiated out of contests.
Five and a Kick: Impostor Broncos keep finals hopes alive, refs 'don't know what they're doing' as lucky Dogs sink Warriors
Yup! Keep going. Don’t know when to let it rest, do you? Take one quote out of context, and put your spin on it. You’d have a good future with the US State Department. I was referring to a single match where, TBH, what other spin could you put on that game? Three Bins, one of them legitimate and a run of penalties that took the Tigers from 16-0 to 18-16. As I said, you’re a nasty little piece of work that doesn’t think other people have a right to an opinion without ridicule.
Five and a Kick: Impostor Broncos keep finals hopes alive, refs 'don't know what they're doing' as lucky Dogs sink Warriors
Of course. There you go. More sarcasm. A very sad little man you are. But it’s made your day in what is probably quite an unfulfilled life so that’s my good deed for the day. You’re the one making a fool of yourself with your unnecessary latent aggression, holding yourself up to be some kind of yardstick for validation of what is and isn’t true. Like I said before, I come on this site for a bit of fun and to discuss the irregularities in the game. Never said institutional bias against Manly BTW. Don’t know where you you read that. Maybe that’s the problem. Your literacy levels.
Five and a Kick: Impostor Broncos keep finals hopes alive, refs 'don't know what they're doing' as lucky Dogs sink Warriors
Yes, of course, because I said every single game ever played and every Manly win or loss was down to a conspiracy. Read what I said, then read it again. Then maybe one more tine and see that I’m just another frustrated being turned off a sport I grew up with because of, at best, inconsistencies, and at worst, premeditated judgements on teams that lead to different interpretations of the same events. Manly was screwed over on Thursday night. He did the same to Manly at ComBank earlier in the year when up 14-0. Teams that are up by three tries and 16 points in as many minutes don’t suddenly start losing their discipline and infringing. Pushing the envelope comes with being behind, not in front.
Five and a Kick: Impostor Broncos keep finals hopes alive, refs 'don't know what they're doing' as lucky Dogs sink Warriors
And these are the nasty, unnecessary personal attacks that I addressed in a previous post. Why is it necessary, Tony, to directly attack another Roarer with your sarcasm and unpleasant bile? Where do personal attacks come into fans discussing the footy? Are you that in love with the current administration that any criticism of the officiating invites personal attacks. I never said the NRL was plotting the demise of Manly, nor did I say that they are the only club who cop the rough calls. And I don’t appreciate being compared to flat earther’s, having a tin foil hat, etc
Just grow up. What? Because you’ve got Guru after your name, you think it makes you something special??
Five and a Kick: Impostor Broncos keep finals hopes alive, refs 'don't know what they're doing' as lucky Dogs sink Warriors
The Warriors definitely cop the worst of it but as a Manly fan I think we are almost on par with the Wah’s. We had three sent to the Bin, the only one that was legitimate was the Waddell one, and the Crichton no-wrap shoulder to the head on RTS now makes me wonder why Waddell even should have been marched. Our slim shot at a Top 4 spot is now gone and next week we have to face the new NRL love affair with the Bulldogs. Based on the leniency shown the Dogs and the severity applied to the Eagles, I predict another loss for us with all the inconsistencies in the officiating that will ensue, swept under the rug. I actually hope we don’t make the finals. We’ll have one game where we will be penalised out of the contest and our gutless coach will get on the press conference and talk about Manly beating themselves and the ref’s doing their best, blah blah blah. I can do without the aggregation. And this is from a guy that grew up watching as many games as possible, bought RLW and Big League every week, commuted from Central Coast to Brookvale Oval for the games and knew every player from every team. The ARL and the Top 5. Sometimes expansion is not progress nor is it positive.

Sad sad little man
Five and a Kick: Sea Eagles self-combust amid sin-bin chaos as Galvin proves he's top rookie in leading Tiger cubs to victory
I stopped posting for a while for this very reason. The sad thing is that those of you who love to be patronising and condescending to others on a supposedly light-hearted sports forum are showing yourselves up to be pathetic insecure little boys. What a pile of garbage all in one spot.
Five and a Kick: Sea Eagles self-combust amid sin-bin chaos as Galvin proves he's top rookie in leading Tiger cubs to victory
Yeah, he praised the Tigers and said his players did it to themselves. It was a pathetic press conference display from a coach who is not invested in his team or his club. He wants to avoid a fine to ensure he doesn’t raise any eyebrows within the hierarchy. And while we’re at it? Why is it a fine? Why many the officials be criticised? Police have to respond to questions and they have to take part in Royal Commissions when it’s alleged their performance isn’t as expected of them. Why are referees a protected species. I suspect it’s because they arr doing the NRL’s bidding. And it’s not just Manly
When Des took the Bulldogs to the 2012 GF in his first year at Belmore, Tony Archer let the Storm sit offside all match and nullify Ben Barba. Why? I suspect because the Storm were putting pressure on the NRL over their stripped premierships for cheating and the best way to placate them was to gift them the comp that year. But back to the press conference. If I was a Manly player I would not even bothering speaking to him after that. Manly were poor but they didn’t beat themselves. They were exhausted and put under intense pressure by a referee who turned the game with his direct involvement. When you’re playing catch-up, the errors tend to flow. Pressure aside, Saab was terrible. That was not even a Blacktown Worker’s performance.

It’s amazing that many of you can’t just come on here and enjoy people discussing the game without being patronising or condescending. That game last night was fixed. No team gets up 16-0 in almost as many minutes and then suddenly becomes so ill-disciplined that they give away six straight penalties. The first two Sin Bins were not justified either. The Tigers were constantley making illegal metres by pushing forward off the mark and Bullemore was simply drawing a line in the sand. Ola hit Mason hard but not high. A hard tackle is not necessarily an illegal tackle. The NRL is offering a product now, not a sport. Many of the rule changes allow the ref’s to make subjective decisions that they don’t have to answer for and that fans can’t see the reason for. Captains can’t stop and challenge them either. It’s all stated to be in the interest of making the game flow more. What it’s actually about is the NRL ensuring the results that they have assessed will benefit certain powerbrokers, betting agencies and investors. Stick your head in the sand if you want to ridicule a person floating ideas and refuse to see what’s in front of you…that the NRL is not creating or maintaining a level playing field. So settle in and wait for the Roosters, Storm and Panthers to well looked after this finals series (until they have to play one another, then it’s anyone’s guess

100% agree. Manly were poor. They have left a bunch of wins on the table against the lower half of the table. Having said that, even allowing for our substandard performance, it was enough to beat an extremely poor Tigers outfit had had the ref not stepped in at 16-0 to leave his footprint. The two Sin Bins were not just ridiculous or incompetent, they were worse than that. Klein was in the Bunker to ensure the howlers didn’t happen. Instead he gave his two cents to ensure the howler. Mason was hit hard, and not high by Ola. His head snapped back from the force of the impact
If it was high, why did Mason not go off on HIA? Ola was not “on his way up”, as Gough stated to substantiate the Binning. And even if he was, on the way is not arriving. Are referees now doing “pre-crime” now? Annesley better sign up Tom Cruise from Minority Report then. Bullemor did nothing less than the Tigers laying all over the ruck last night to slow down our PTB. If that was worthy of a Binning then Api should have gone three times on his own. Yes, we were poor but we had the cattle to win against an extremely poor Tigers side that needed 80 minutes to pit away a team at home with an extra 30 minutes with a one-man advantage. What Gough did last night was manage the Tigers into the game and even the playing field by playing to the crowd. He has done it before and it’s not accidental.

Oh please! Enough with the tin foil hat. Let’s elevate the discussion beyond that of primary school. Based on that disgracefully one-sided officiating, you’re questioning whether there was a predetermined consensus to make a Tigers win happen. Capacity crowd, struggling Sydney club, identifying a potential packed house for the Eels v Tigers match to avoid the spoon. Sorry, but either the result was predetermined or the crowd got to Gough and he lost all objectivity, or as his raised voice with DCE confirms, he simply hates the Sea Eagles. He did this to Manly early in the year when they were leading 14-0 at ComBank against Eels. Just like last night, a steady stream of penalties for the opposition couple with none for us, changed the entire game. Same as 6 Agains. We rarely get them, yet they are routinely sprinkled upon the opposition. Last night the Tigers were gone for all money. They only came back when Manly copped that string of six penalties and had players in the Bin. Three players in the Bin and it took them the full 80 minutes to win. Gough leaves that game alone and it’s a cricket score to Manly.

“Neither decision is evidence the game is rigged”
Except that it is. Two games in 24 hours adjudicated completely differently. Explain that and then explain after Monday how it’s possible that these two referees have yet again been appointed for the following round.
