The height of poor behaviour with tennis players themselves was brought about by the Americans. John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors were at the forefront of the poor behaviour in tennis movement.
This kind of behaviour spread by TV to all parts. The Americans can hardly complain about anything bad when it comes to sports or culture. When they’ve been at the centre of its creation.
What’s even worse is that now there’s nothing wrong with obvious lies. Created by American politicians. Assisted by removing correction to anything that’s false on social media.
Everyone around the world grabs hold of this rubbish & copies it.
Not sure how you go about correcting any of these things here, when they are then accepted & common place.
However, I’m sure a small story about some poor crowd behaviour in Australia will help a lot. 👍

Penrith have valued good defence. Especially over the last 5 years or so.
My grandmothers have unfortunately both passed away. They won’t be making any appearances on any playing fields. Miss you Nana!
Tago looked pretty good in some finals games last season. Especially against the Storm & Cronulla.

I don’t agree with poor sportsmanship.
However, Americans aren’t a shining light when it comes to good sportsmanship . Anyone who’s watched any gridiron games can see exactly what I mean. Any away side can’t hear themselves think , when they have the ball & the quarterback is trying to shout out play calls.
That’s just one example of their poor sportsmanship.
How about changing who’s leading medal tallies , by listing the tallies in a new way . To keep America at the top of the list.
Yelling out when players are playing a shot at golf , when they don’t wish certain players to win. Mostly non American golfers cop this treatment.
Their crowds are right up there with the best of bad sports , at Davis Cup ties .( Just as European countries crowds are ) . Also at any tennis tournament in America , where there’s an American playing.
Any show of poor sportsmanship isn’t limited to Australia. Not by a very long shot. Maybe we are just misguidedly expecting better?

I think they’ll lose a lot more in 2025. We will see? Kepaoa was playing backs a lot at Penrith. Would have to improve his tackle efficiency to get a run in first grade. I checked & it’s 80.6 % , which won’t get him a run in the top grade.

Ethan Sanders was a very good prospect in the halves. Like Penrith with the halves to come through there. Parramatta officials failed the club & the supporters , by not getting him on a new contract.

Brown has played really well in some games , not so great & quiet in many others. Hasn’t looked like a great leader , when he’s played halfback.
So teams would be seeking a second fiddle type 5/8 with him.

Billy Scott is a young dummy half that they’d now be hoping is the future there . He’d played some Cup last season & will play there a lot more in 2025. Waiting a chance at the top level in the next couple of seasons. Likely to pass Sommerton & Luke in the pecking order.
David Fa’le is very young centre / winger , got a new contract last season. Big , good step & fast. Impressed when lined up against Xerri in Cup. I think he will challenge for a first grade position.
Kepaoa impressed after coming over from West’s at centre . Scored a lot of points & certainly lifted the Cup side later in 2024. Another who could get his first grade opportunity.
I’d love to see Laurie get a real chance to nail down a permanent first grade position. He was great at fullback in 2024 with limited opportunities .

The Storm will most likely be better in 2025, than in 2024.
Then Hynes could be the millstone that hangs around the Sharks neck. He’s too expensive to not play him , if he doesn’t play well. No one else would then wish to pay the same amount for him as Cronulla have .
After 2025 , Atkinson goes to the Dragons.
So perhaps 2025 has to be the year for the Sharks to win it . While they have Atkinson there. As the next players up haven’t been tested in first grade as yet.
On another note , Ison & Iongi have been talked up by Cronulla & Parramatta at fullback. I thought Iongi was good & improving. Maybe both will be good first graders? Penrith thought that Edgar was the best of the 3 & could still be correct? 👍

I think that’s a real chance , with the Roosters.
Don’t think the Bulldogs would spend another million ,on another 5/8.
Depends on Brown. If he did wish to go home to NZ? You’d think that the Warriors would spend the same amount as Parramatta to get him there.
Only other places with near a million for a 5/8 , would be the Dragons , Dolphins or South’s ( Depending on Walker ). Or perhaps Manly , without DCE.

I’m talking about players who’d get a regular run in first grade on better money than the Storm would be paying them . Or a few other clubs.
Wishart & Pezet for sure. That Howard played reserves for a long time before getting an opportunity.
Laurie. Only Penrith & Newcastle were interested in him after his time at West’s.
He’s certainly looked better back at Penrith. Haven’t seen any clubs desperately seeking to sign him, even the Bulldogs.
Can’t say that in recent times many good up & coming players at Penrith haven’t quickly been given an opportunity in first grade.
