There is one word that NSW need to have drilled into their minds and written on the strapping tape around their wrists. One word…
As a fan of rugby league, I don't want to see foul play incidents happen in the game...but I also don't want to see matches played without a contest.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Queenslander or Blueslander, when your team loses there are always shouts for changes. But is that always the…
People are allowed to change their minds. We are only human, we have our opinions and we all make mistakes. From 20 year old…
Once again the NRL is talking expansion and they are tossing up new franchise possibilities like an Italian chef preparing a pizza base or…
He shouldn't go so far as to put a broom through the squad and pick a team full of debutants, but the composition of the sq will make or break Madge in his first series as coach.
The current NRL product is as good as it’s ever been. All the athletes in the NRL with their skills, speed, strength and fitness…
I think if both Cleary and Moses are fit for Game 1 next year then it’s worth picking both and seeing if they can make it work.

Can you please change your name to Queenslander. It’s confusing 😂
NRL comes down hard on NINE 'unacceptable' bench brawlers but Haumole just 'helping out a brother'
Well Nate Myles isn’t a player and he didn’t say it just once. You can see him repeatedly saying something until after suallii turned around. If the NRL wanted to send a message then that was the time to do it.

Myles is an official and had no right to antagonise a player from the opposing team.

The commentators weren’t surprised they just didn’t agree it was sin bin worthy in an origin game.

And they did nothing about Nate Myles in the first game but now want to send a message about getting involved if you’re not on the field of play.

Get off your DCE bandwagon

Open yours.
NRL comes down hard on NINE 'unacceptable' bench brawlers but Haumole just 'helping out a brother'
Maybe if the had of come down harder on Nate Myles after the first game then everyone would have known that if you’re not on the field of play then it’s unacceptable to get involved.

Go back and have a look for yourself mate. DCE challenged Luai. Not the other way around. Manly supporter?
Luai was going for the ball then noticed DCE was going to hit him off the ball.
I’m not the only one who saw it that way because the penalty went against DCE.

Looking at the charge sheet I think they are nit picking with some of those charges but if they are going to be like that then they missed Ben Hunts shoulder charge and Reece Walsh head kicking.
Plus DCE started the whole melee and he really should have been sin binned as well.

NSW can be very proud of our team. And we have a coach that knows what it takes to win Origin.
Five and a kick: Silly Billy selections backfire, Jurbo the sideline skipper and Luai stumbles at final hurdle
What I actually wrote:
There is one word that NSW need to have drilled into them and written on the strapping tape around their wrists. One word that is crucial to make sure the State of Origin Shield is coming home with them to NSW.
That one word is Discipline. Discipline is the key for the Blues in this decider at Suncorp Stadium with over 40 thousand screaming QLD fans and a Maroons team that will be trying to unhinge the Blues in the intensity of a series deciding game at Queenslands spiritual home.

Thanks matth. But it wasn’t me mate. It was a NSW team that we can all be very proud of. And a NSW coach that understands what it takes to win Origin.
Blues pull off mission impossible in epic Origin decider with Maguire silencing critics to vanquish Maroons
That might change Blinky boy. And you just proved my point. You were all happy to rub our noses in it when it was 8 straight. And I wasn’t ever so disrespectful as to go around saying Queensland couldn’t win.
But it’s nice to see some of you eat humble pie.

What I wrote:
The deafening noise coming out of Queensland is that they need to stand up to the Blues and fight fire with fire. But when Queenslanders say things in the media, I always ask the question, how does this serve QLD? It’s my opinion that the Maroons are great at mind games (that’s probably because of their extra head) and so when they say things in the media I’m always questioning what’s their hidden message, and their agenda. The simple answer is it’s always to advance the QLD cause and give QLD the best chance of winning.
But more specifically what the Queenslanders have been saying since the second game in Melbourne has been about lifting the QLD players aggression, focus and intensity and laying the bait for the NSW players so QLD can use the Blues aggression against them.

Queenslanders know that they have one advantage come Wednesday. A home game at one of the best rugby league venues in the world and a crowd with 80% Queensland supporters cheering them on.
It’s a magical place full of their own kind, similar to Loompaland but with less cocoa beans and more XXXX beer.
This is their best weapon on Wednesday night.

What I wrote:
Queensland also know that the man with the whistle who will be standing in the middle of Suncorp Stadium with them can have a big influence on the result of this game. In no other game in no other arena will a referee feel the pressure like a deciding State of Origin match at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

What I wrote:
The Maroons plan will be to play very aggressively and try to rattle the Blues cages in Brisbane. They will want to unsettle them and make them as uncomfortable as possible. There’s several players that will likely have a large target next to their name on the QLD white board. Martin, Moses, Luai, Leniu and the debutant Barnett. These players will probably feature heavily on the tip sheet when it comes to using unsettling tactics to try and knock them out of their tree.

What I wrote:
However, even though Queensland have a great advantage in the decider. They are painfully aware that a Blues Blitz like the first half in Melbourne would be disastrous in Brisbane and would nullify their greatest weapon. The pressure on the Maroons if they experience a similar onslaught in Brisbane will be as if the entire stadium was pressing down on top of them.
So as much as Billy and his Queenslanders from Queensland are ecstatic to be playing a decider in QLD, in the back of their minds there is a tiny voice whispering the words “what if”.

What I wrote:
NSW have the blue print on how to win from their first half of game II at the MCG. And I believe if NSW play like that for 80 minutes in Brisbane then QLD fans will be crying in their XXXX beers on Wednesday night.
But to perform like that for 80 minutes at Suncorp will take a steely determination and a very disciplined attitude.

What I wrote:
Nothing can be more important to NSW than winning and certainly not their egos. To win, the Blues must remember that this is not about them, it’s about something much bigger than their individual egos or just 17 players taking the field in a blue jersey. There is an entire State full of people who they must put before themselves and that’s why they must remain disciplined and focused for 80 minutes.

What I wrote:
The Blues second half in game II was poor in comparison to their first half. And it was their discipline which brought them down.
In game I at certain times, their discipline also let them down. For this NSW team to be only the third Blues team in 44 years to win a decider in Brisbane they must get one thing perfect and that is their discipline.

What I wrote:
There is no doubt that the QLD forwards have a point to prove and the whole cane toad team will want to show that they can’t be bullied in QLD. I think the Maroons tactics will be to push the Blues players right to the edge and then hope they will jump off. QLD know that they will get more leeway in Brisbane and all those 50/50 calls will go their way. Ashley Klein will be hesitant to give too many penalties against the home team and so the Queenslanders will push their aggression to maximum level and see what they can get away with.

NSW are no more arrogant than QLD. NSW could also say that they had injuries that cost them the 22 and 23 series.
Both sides played the hands they were dealt.
