What type of relationship does Chris Orr have with these people that he just drops a bulk bcc email to them all?
Not very personal and not trying for a good fit for his player. I could do that.
““I am disappointed that my actual email to CEO’s/head of football/ NRL coaches/recruitment managers has been leaked within minutes to the media,” Orr wrote.”
😂 😂 sure he is!
Wallabies on Brown's radar as Eels star casts wide net in search for new mega deal
cs,
The argument for MC is he’s good for a couple of years but not sustainable (I note his growth but for the purposes of argument)
Does RA want to go through this again after WC 2027 or are they looking for some long-term consistency of performance culture?
That is having to start from ground zero do they want to start from there again?
It’s an interesting debate.

LP,
I actually agree with BB on this one. I think JS and RA are working together on the exit plan.
It doesn’t seem his style to prevaricate and leave RA hanging after making a commitment.

Don,
My brain is dying from this thread.

BG,
coaches must love this sort of behaviour from their front office eh?
Contract circus boosts Brown’s bank balance but could be costly to reputation of wannabe 'franchise player'
I like him already

BB,
I don’t think he said anything different.
A) his job now is coaching Tahs
B) no one has informed him to report for anything.
What exactly did you want him to say and what exactly would be the consequences of saying that?

Don,
He’s fit and will be fitter after couple of weeks and he’s going to Japan not France.
That’s not to discredit Japan but it’s less attritional than Europe.
As long as his calves are OK he’ll be OK. Maybe his 7’s sojourn will actually help him in Japanese Rugby?

That was truly a “Hail Mary” play.

Brendan,
AFL & NRL are also more like the US sports in that they attract supporters, spectators and viewers who have NEVER had a playing involvement with the game at ANY level, including a very large female audience.
That is, the clubs, players and games themselves are able to attract non-aligned bums, eyes and wallets, and hearts to be fair.
I’m sure there are some but this isn’t something I associate with Rugby in AU.

“Now here’s an interesting career, four games in the top grade but never more than one per season. Ellis played three games for the Roosters, one each in 1997, 1998 and 1999, and then his final first-grade game for the Dragons in 2003.”
Now that’s just cruel isn’t it?
One-hit wonders: From prolific try-scorers to heavyweights and even fighters, the Dragons who never got a second game
I think he has a yen to play elsewhere. He would kill it in Japan.

$400k PER SEASON! If that’s correct in all honesty I couldn’t do it.
It’s not like the big American sports and Football where 400k difference might be 1% of your pay, in essence a rounding error, it has to double his pay! He can’t be on more than $400k now surely.
Over a 3 year contract $1.2m extra.
In no way could I blame him for signing.

Tige,
Fawcett was only drafted in 2023, he’s ok.
Guys like Colina, Green and Smith will be out the door at year end if the don’t break through.
Otherwise I think you’re pretty right.
