“The MCG is 160m long and 141m wide compared to the SCG which is 5m shorter and 5m narrower.”
Maybe if it’s that big a problem they could find a bigger ground for all their home games?

'Caused enormous hurt and pain': Dees bury hatchet with disgruntled ex-president after legal dispute

He will be remembered as a great coach – his record speaks for itself.
Don’t focus so much on flags won, but what he was able to do with the players he had.
Their winning percentage up there with the best of all time.
As a Magpie fan, I only have to look back at some of the magnificent teams we had over the years which made it to the big dance, only to fall at the last hurdle. The so-called “Colliwobbles” which was hard to take especially when it was our arch enemy Carlton doing a job on us!

Calling Antony Hudson “huddo is wrong IMO – there can only ever be one Huddo – the great goalsneak Peter Hudson!

We are no more enlightened at the end of this statement than we were at the start!

It’s all very well to say you want draft picks, not players traded from other clubs, but Collingwood doesn’t have any good picks, the lowest ones are in the 50’s.

McRae's trade first strategy is a recipe for Magpie disaster

What’s the problem here? If some idiots want to party, who cares.

'Disgusting thing to do': Great slams 'rat' bartender over GWS 'Wacky Wednesday' scandal, blow-up doll allegedly used

I’ve always been in favour of the pre-finals bye and because of late season injuries, I still am. Of greater merit in my mind is the fact that the AFL should consider making only a top six instead of 8 teams eligible for finals.
I know that there is Buckley’s chance of this actually happening as the AFL wants to maximise profit for those most likely to benefit from the current situation.

Why the Lions' GF run proves the pre-finals bye has got to go

I’m also glad to see him go – I just couldn’t stand the sight of the man – he will not be missed.

Dream on!

Joe Daniher's selfishness could cost the Lions the grand final... but a left-field role could help them win it

If I had my way, I would do away with the Brownlow altogether! What a joke, a laughing stock it’s become, not a true indication of all players and their value to clubs.

COMMENT: The Brownlow is broken beyond recognition. It's time for change

Nope! I’ve been following footy since 1956 and I’m too old to change my ways now.
Leave the bloody game alone AFL and cater to the fans instead of your corporate mates!

I think it must be a consolation prize for Carlton after their unsuccessful year.

'He also broke the record': Cripps' classy Daicos tribute after claiming second Brownlow, shattering record with 45 votes

What a joke! Cripps was not 7 votes better than Nick Daicos!
The umpires have become the laughing stock of the AFL.
As well as the tribunal for handing him his first Brownlow!

I agree, Footscray is better. I’ve never been comfortable with Western Bulldogs.

I couldn’t believe that Cripps off, he really charged Ah Chee with intent to injure from what I saw of the incident. It pisses me off!

What are you talking about Les? You’ve always been negative as far as Collingwood is concerned.

Getting rid of Mick Malthouse to bring in Buckley was a disaster, as you said, we could have had a mini dynasty.
The Collingwood team of 2011 was the best group of Magpies that I had ever seen until last year.
I’ve never liked McGuire, although some thought he was the Messiah. In reality he set us back 10 years as a club.
As a supporter since 1956, I cringed at some of the blunders made by him and Buckley both on and off the field!
I really did think Collingwood wouldn’t recover in my time on this earth, so a big thank you to all at Magpie land.

The reasons why Nathan Buckley will never crack the 'premiership code'
