Nice round up Billy. I agree with your selections and feel the best 4 teams left are Chiefs, Lions, Bills and Ravens. I can’t go past the Chiefs as Mahomes just thrives at play offs and he will be at home this year. Chiefs have been lucky all season but when it’s tight Mahomes just knows how to win

Agree to all Bush , just unlucky. Could add to his all rounder status, one of the best fielders in the game. The catch in BBL up in Brisbane last week was the best I’ve ever seen.

Yep fair enough 13th. I think Zampa gave up a while ago and without FC cricket it makes it very hard to pick him. Maxwell however should be considered unlucky. I’m not sure it was always him who decided not to play FC games, often scheduling has prevented him playing eg Pakistan white ball series last Nov.But the point you make about chasing the short form dollars is relevant

Thanks PD wasn’t aware that Zampa had concerns over fitness but it’s a shame as I think he could have worked in tandem with Lyon especially in SL ir India. Maxi is different. Really think he was hard done by with selection and is one of the most talented cricketers I’ve ever seen but his chances seem over now and yes, a younger bloke should get the opportunity.

When Warner burst on the scene it was Ricky Ponting who said that “if you are good enough you should play all formats”. Really feel for Maxwell and Zampa who are certainly good enough but for reasons only known to selectors have not been given many chances at Test level. Maxwell must be confused when he sees Konstas playing reverse scoops on the first morning of a test match….

Nice article Malcolm. You have more knowledge regarding the amount of revenue made by India and the influence of the BCCI. Do Aust and England boards have a backbone or do we roll over for the BCCI? I think it’s a disgrace that India won’t go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy while world cricket just shrugs it shoulders and say it’s India so it’s ok. I know there are precedents like Australia not going to Sri Lanka for the 1996 WC but is India’s decision not to go to Pakistan based on security or petty Political grandstanding?

Seriously, with 2 days to go and we are still over 100 ahead so I’d rather be in our position than the Indians. They played really well today and the next two days will be fascinating.
