They should pin this list up on the Aus dressing room walls during the next Ashes.

'Bazbulls--t': Cricket bible slammed as Test team of the year features zero Aussies, FIVE Poms

It’s a bit of a grey area. Technically it’s only dropped if a finger or glove touches it, so if the keeper is not good enough to even reach the ball, no dropped catch.

Quiet achiever Carey starting to enter rare air of Australia’s all-time wicketkeeping greats

Don’t tell Stuart Broad. He said Carey would only be remembered for the Bairstow stumping 😊

Despite being a great bowler, Broad will be remembered by some as one of the game’s great whingers.

Mark W used to open in ODIs. Together with Gilchrist, they were a formidable opening combination.

Flem’s Verdict: Confidence in Konstas - Why rookie opener can reach great heights in Boxing Day debut

LOL! The idea that the selectors just sit there waiting for Cummins to tell them who they should pick is pretty ridiculous. And why would Cummins deliberately compromise his team? His record as captain (win/loss ratio) would mean a lot to him. Anyway, which of the current NSW players has only been picked because of his state?

Flem’s Verdict: Top order becoming one of the worst ever - more questions than answers with most players in both teams

This old baggy blue / baggy green line is very dated, if it ever was even valid. The current selectors comprise a tasmanian and 2 victorians, so the idea that they would favour a NSW player is pretty silly.

Flem’s Verdict: Top order becoming one of the worst ever - more questions than answers with most players in both teams

Sydney and Melbourne should give a better indication of where Lyon is at. He hasn’t bowled a great deal so far in this series.

Khawaja is close to retirement and has enough credit in the bank to see out the series. Konstas
will succeed him, but it would be mad to bring him in now to partner someone who has played only 2 tests. McSweeney is new and should be given the chance to build a significant score. Labuschagne is the one who needs to be dropped IMO. Whereas Smith looked like his old self again in the 1st innings, Marnus has scratched around unproductively, lacks confidence and his footwork is all over the place. He desperately needs to go back to shield to see if he can regain his form.

“And get Nathan Cleary for World cup”. As kicking coach or player? I’d say there’s no chance of him switching as a player, but I like the idea of him coaching players in kicking out of the hand. He’s the best in the business.

Wallabies ratings: Great white hope's 'panic' moment proves costly, Lolesio's flawless kicking game

“It’s the person whose lips are moving.” Have you ever met an American with their mouth shut? If they’re not eating, they’re talking 😊

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Schmidt makes six changes for season finale against Ireland, Suaalii cleared as Edmed debuts

That day is etched into my memory as well, for all the wrong reasons! Fortunately, the next 3 years helped ease the pain 😊

'Not sure I can get through': Longmire reveals he scuppered original handover date as bombshell resignation confirmed

Not against a quality bowler like Bumrah you can’t. Not offering a stroke is not an option against a ball pitched on or around off stump.

Flem’s Verdict: If Marnus fails in Adelaide he must be dropped for his own good - Inglis deserves a shot

Settle, petal. I’m not saying that part of his record should be ignored, just that winning a premiership, as player or coach (both in his case) is a great achievement. I’m betting his Wikipedia page will mention that before GF losses, just as it does with players.

'Not sure I can get through': Longmire reveals he scuppered original handover date as bombshell resignation confirmed

Marnus is completely lacking in confidence. His 1st innings effort was commendable only for managing to hang in there for 52 deliveries, but it was very clear through his footwork that he couldn’t decide how to play each ball. Sometimes a batter can play themselves out of this situation, and I was hoping he could do that, but a test match against the excellent Indian attack is not the place to do it. He needs to return to shield cricket and work his way back.

Flem’s Verdict: If Marnus fails in Adelaide he must be dropped for his own good - Inglis deserves a shot

That would be harsh. Hopefully in time he is remembered more as someone who won premierships as both player and coach.

Excited to see Koroisau and Luai reunited.

Major Tigers coup as star prop snubs Dragons, signs up on hefty deal

This is perhaps a bit picky, but when Wright scored 2 of his 3 tries there were virtually no Welsh defenders anywhere near him but he grounded the ball in the corner instead of improving the position. Lolesio kicked one but missed the other, and while it had no bearing on the overall result, it was 2 points wasted.

Wallabies smash Wales to keep Grand Slam dream alive despite red card to big name centre

Eh? You’d replace Edwards with Hammer at FB? Madness.

Edwards shows why he's No.1 as Kangaroos defend like demons to keep Kiwis at bay

I’ve been a Lomax fan for a while now and, apart from one moment when he was made to look silly by Warbrick’s footwork, he showed his value with 2 well-finished tries.

Yep, can’t wait to see what Mitchell does with this line-up. Sicily and Hardwick both showed this year what they can do further up the field, and I expect they will be spending more time there next season, maybe Scrimshaw as well.

AFL Trade Period power rankings: Forget the mega draft haul - the Tigers are in a very sticky situation indeed

RL halfbacks are playmakers and closer to rugby five-eighths. If Cleary ever switched codes, he would more likely wear 10 than 9. That said, I reckon he could learn to box kick pretty quickly.

McLennan calls on Wallabies to throw mega bucks at Cleary to save rugby in Australia 'or there'll be nothing left to sell'

Another year, another suspension controversy. The crux of the problem here is that the punishment is not aligned with the crime. Just as the indiscretion has a rating, so should the value of the match missed through suspension. Let’s say a regular H&A game is worth 10 points, a final 30 points and the GF 50 points, and NAS’s hit was worth 35 points. He gets to play the GF and misses the first few games of next season. You can play with the numbers, but you get the idea. It may not be perfect but it’s way better than the current dumb system of effectively treating every game as of equal value.

NRL Finals Talking Points: NAS deserves no sympathy for grand final ban - he should have been sent off

It won’t stay at twilight for long. The media know that prime time is after 7:30, so that’s what they will demand. This is what happened to the league GF.
