Young striker heads west in search of game time under Zdrila as former Wanderer crosses divide
Perth have always been my number two team.
Loved them in the NSL, and if not for Mark Corral and his crazy flag thing in season 1 we would l ð have gad Nick Tana running the show.
With new ownership and I think a progressive looking coach I hope they can restore their lost status.
The league imo needs a strong Perth, Brisbane n Adelaide.
Let’s hope the new signing go well

WCQ Group C predictions: Do-or-die for Socceroos in vital window, can Saudis recover?
You left a lot off the list Waz,
Not suggesting this as a solution but Herberg way back in the 60’s termed a theory based on Dissatisfiers, Satisfiers….. see below for a summary,,,,
The mostly negative light the A-League is presented in must have an effect over time…
What effect is hard to measure and what can you say positive is a question…and waz you almost alone often post positive things….
But if those in charge could identify say the leading four Dissatisfiers, and then work towards finding a way to change what is a Dissatisfiers.
Below is a summary of Herberg’s theory …. could this be a start …
Another important contribution to our understanding of individual motivation came from Frederick Herzberg’s studies, which addressed the question, “What do people really want from their work experience?” In the late 1950s, Herzberg surveyed numerous employees to find out what particular work elements made them feel exceptionally good or bad about their jobs. The results indicated that certain job factors are consistently related to employee job satisfaction, while others can create job dissatisfaction. According to Herzberg, motivating factors (also called job satisfiers) are primarily intrinsic job elements that lead to satisfaction. Hygiene factors (also called job dissatisfiers) are extrinsic elements of the work environment. A summary of motivating and hygiene factors appears in (Figure).
One of the most interesting results of Herzberg’s studies was the implication that the opposite of satisfaction is not dissatisfaction. Herzberg believed that proper management of hygiene factors could prevent employee dissatisfaction, but that these factors could not serve as a source of satisfaction or motivation. Good working conditions, for instance, will keep employees at a job but won’t make them work harder. But poor working conditions, which are job dissatisfiers, may make employees quit. According to Herzberg, a manager who wants to increase employee satisfaction needs to focus on the motivating factors, or satisfiers. A job with many satisfiers will usually motivate workers, provide job satisfaction, and prompt effective performance. But a lack of job satisfiers doesn’t always lead to dissatisfaction and poor performance; instead, a lack of job satisfiers may merely lead to workers doing an adequate job, rather than their best.

Agree our schedule used today fits a cable broadcaster.
Also it’s new to Paramount as a company there world wide operations are more alined to cable and they are moving to streaming.
Given our broadcast deal in the foreseeable future will not be huge getting the best out of crowds is IMO important.

On the n matches PG seem to be improving as do the jets.
The Roar seem scared to make mistakes and it’s effecting how they play.
SFC have not had the rub of the green this year to date.. if they fire they will win by a large margin
A-League Talking Points: Victory and Wanderers can’t be split in classic, Sky Blues’ flaws exposed again
Hand on heart waz not the other thing….you need a special coach.
We had five years of hell and it was fixed by a local called Ken who restructured the academy and the appointment if Staj.
Stay has an ability to recognise talent Especially in young players and then develop around what talent he has.
Most coaches don’t have these skills and for the sake of the league as a whole we need a strong Roar. The Roar like WSW, SFC n MV and arguably PG, need to kinda lead the pack.
A strong Roar, WSW n PG, will lift the league.
Recently all three have had a number of poor seasons I hope they all improve…WSW looks like it is on the improve.
Key to it all from our experience was the appointment of a coach who had proven experience in developing and improving teams on a small budget. Which is what you need especially not mates as we had with Phil Moss
