For what the West Coast Eagles need though? I am very doubtful.

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

Oh for sure I agree that Callum Coleman Jones was unlucky and he’s not under pressure because of anything that he particularly has done but more that Tristan Xerri and Brynn Teakle are so much further ahead of him.

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

They have Baker listed as a midfielder, and half backs and forwards are increasingly interchangeable with the wing now. I also think it’s more associated with what they gave up to get him and Owies there, the trades are linked hence they’re the same rung on the ladder

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

Pressure looks like creeping existential dread like the Zerg creep in StarCraft

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

Who are you gonna play as second ruck? Surely not Oscar Allen?

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

Big Cox Energy.

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

The list management team are 10/10 right now. Trading a future first could very easily backfire on top of long extensions to clarry.

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

I don’t disagree with that. But I’d expect the west coast fans would vociferously disagree with me. I think he will have something of a second year decline but that’s almost a cliche at this point. I think I almost reverse mozzed him because bombers fans have been screaming that we trade for him which is a very silly move in my opinion, particulaRly if we are bad this year it’s better to draft someone like a Willem Dursuma rather than Harley

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

Yeah I honestly could’ve made the entire list out of small forwards, like I really wanted to include Petrucelle but the issue I had is that I didn’t want to include players that were almost certainly going to be delisted but the more I read on Yeo the stranger his contract extension seemed to me. He’s too old but his big advantage is that he can go to the flanks and still be reasonable but of course a lot of this is conjecture

AFL Pressure Gauge: With a tenacious list taking shape, can the Eagles finally start turning adversity into diamonds?

I think he’s definitely been protected by the fact that he’s a Fremantle alumnus. But I think my issue is his instincts are too similar to Ross Lyon’s so on the one hand that means they have a consistency of game style but that game style cannot make the jump

Dockers recruited well enough to be genuine contenders, but only if they stay healthy up front

Probably wouldn’t but the afl would bail them out as well

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

But easy when all twelve sides above you get busted for PEDs

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Hahaha I did mention Malakai Champion but not as a player under pressure

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Most likely but there is something comfortable about being eternally mediocre

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Hahaha aim for the stars that way it will be better when we win

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Josh Kennedy was a big big fan of Teakle in his state league days, the bombers we’re linked to him in the 21 SSP

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

At this rate probably. But Essendon are in the business of winning flags not finals Knoxxy

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Oh god that’s just asking for trouble if worse comes to worse throw Caleb Daniel in as the back up ruck it’s so crazy it just might work

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

I’m a bombers fan don, but you also have them finishing below norf, which i suppose six years of beating north would be too much to ask for

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Well there’s Tim Kelly haha?

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Frequently though the pressure is in the perception not the reality. If Clarkson has another year like he has done the past couple of years, the doubts will start to creep in. The other point I would make is hawthorn were on the decline in his final days there, and have experienced a reversal of fortunes since he left, that’s got to be damaging to someone with an ego like Clarko. The other aspect is Horse doesn’t have that, he is coming from a reasonably successful Sydney outfit. Plus if norf finish outside the 8 as they’re likely to do then they only have to pay out six months of his deal thanks to that weird deal the AFLCA cut

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Honestly I don’t like the fact they only gave a year to Longmuir. I don’t think he’s a bad coach, but only giving a year on his deal signifies that he’s on borrowed time

Dockers recruited well enough to be genuine contenders, but only if they stay healthy up front

The only issue there is the Roos have the cap space they can pay out his deal over two years with no biggie.

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

I also just submitted this piece for the Eagles now.

North Melbourne pressure gauge 2025: With Longmire back on the market, is Clarko running out of time?

Yup no weird byes every week. Unfortunately for Australia I don’t think we have the population to sustain a 20 team competition.
