“Portsmouth have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Hayden Matthews”

Brisbane Roar FINALLY earn first win with massive boilover, Reds pinch top spot from Auckland

btw..”Garang returns from injury
Returned to the Newcastle U21s side yesterday vs Southampton U21s
Played 90, 2 shots, 1 goal.
Lost 4-2.”

And Iranbkunda started for Grasshopers but they had red card 3mins in. He came off half time.

oh and now I add..bring on Burgess!! Talay’s downgrading of Burgess is more on Talay than Burgess

Shouldve rotated Wednesday..looked slow then too. BTW why do people think we need a CB ?..I think we need a pacy left back. We have been exposed all season with over attacking.

We still had Popovic available, Grant works as a pinch hitter, and I still dont get why not try JCP. Gurd lacks conviction but looks like he could make it given perserverance.

Cant believe how wide open Sydney were compared to Roar plus they had a day when almost everything went right 😛

“From the get-go, I thought we were very lethargic and very slow.” and whose fault was that? The Coach !! 😡 They looked flat wednesday when the squad shouldve been rotated..and what a waste of a signing Sotirio is. I get trying him out but ahead of the kids? No way! 😱
I travelled with the team Thursday and they looked contented however being relegated behind Sotirio – a newcomer – mustve hurt.

I blame Grem 😡 ..and Talay for not rotating the squad..ps they looked flat Wednesday too

A-League tipping: Round 15 - Auckland face two tough tests, Wanderers to rise into top six

Tested that and some GA tickets were still available. plus RAA Lounge 😛

Prefer Wood over his replacement Sotirio..ok he has more pace but we have plenty of youngsters for that.

Young striker heads west in search of game time under Zdrila as former Wanderer crosses divide

I was at the Wed game and thought the crowd was ok considering midweek, cold wind and current Phoenix performances.. shared the plane with the Sydney team on the way home !! In fact surprised it was only 4,800 odd as they put up a good show of support.

And we all know the handball rules are nonsense. I’ve seen pens given when the ball is clearly going out of play and not given when clearly heading for goal..in those times deliberate should not be a consideration

Putting decisions in digital deities' hands is killing football's spontaneity - and fans will walk away

I think the offside rule works mainly well but I object to the exactness of it. In a flowing game I don’t believe one sb offside by a nostril hair… more leeway sb given particularly when it often depends on a subjective decision of when the ball is played

Personally I don’t think var is as bad as made out..the only real issue I have is the Clear and Obvious seems to have gone. If it takes many camera angles then play on otherwise we have created a situation where refs are afraid to make decisions. And the inability to celebrate is a furphy. We still celebrate then have the added suspense of var before hopefully celebrating again. ????
The real current problem is the offside and handball rules

I’m presuming he will be picked Saturday too .which may help 😁 .. unfortunately 😔

Ten teams still in the hunt: Why A-League parity makes it more interesting than anything in Europe

Btw re AU MV. Apparently only standing room Nth Sth stands

Western United are putting the fun back in the A-League Men

My feeling is that while JCP is great going forwards he leaves gaps behind he is not quick at recovering…thus the rearranged backline. Both King and De Jesus are playing well now. However JCP is meant to be a CB so I also don’t get why he not being used there at least as a trial with Gurd untrusted and Popovic loan ending.

Super sub Segecic's 22-minute hat-trick sinks struggling Mariners as Sky Blues go fifth

City could go top too.. 😢 😡

Yep it’s Notts County 😁

How Nottingham Forest went from the brink of relegation to eyeing off the Champions League

Whilst I agree with the gist..too many mindless rules created recently..it was still a pen imo. Sure it was unintentional with no chance for the player to avoid it ie the physics were against him. BUT it still interfered with play in the box and a clear DOGSO

Because they already have a game Saturday and AFC 2 game/s to come..

Lolley nabs sweet hat-trick for red-hot Sky Blues as Glory potentially lose skipper to quad injury

I broke my arm landing on it in a soccer match.. 😛 funny thing was the other teams player threw the ball at me thinking I was faking it 😁

'I don’t know what the rules are': Alen Stajcic perfectly sums up the mess that is football officialdom

My opinion is the interpretation I remember was best…only handball outside the box if deliberate or affected play. In the box if it prevented a GSO or was deliberate.

The Auckland stats are improving the overall position

A-League glory days are long gone - but could they ever return?

Probably a great move..he needs game time at a good level

Van de Saag shouldve got red for his early one as it was clearly dangerous..also Mileusnic was also dangerous
