So just expanding on that point further , shouldn’t RA focus on player numbers first and foremost, and let those players naturally become fans and fill out stadiums? I reckon that’s the go , I’ll bet historically at least , that the proportion of players in a Rugby crowd beats the same ratio in a League crowd.

Cron is but one aspect . In terms of Props ( we have always hade top rated Hookers ) they need time in the saddle against the best – how to achieve that . I have closely followed under age teams 20’ s and schools against the international sides and we rarely get bested – plenty of raw young talent – often then under developed and wasted . Lack of scrum time ? Coaching ? Role models ?
