Great concept.

The solution to the third-tier rugby debate needs to be a knockout

Fair enough. Agree that Ash’s celebrations seemed rushed. However, I think the positives of having mixed events (more exposure, bigger crowds) probably balance out the existing negatives of having less people watching and a smaller prize fund for the women. I don’t think the slower greens and shorter rough took away from the men’s competition. It was one of the strongest fields Australia’s seen in the last decade and they hardly tore the course apart.

'Let him cook': Min Woo Lee poised for stardom as golf form starts to rival his social media game

I agree, and I think younger sports fans who aren’t necessarily into golf are starting to take notice of Min Woo Lee. I am surprised to hear you didn’t like having the women play along side the men. I was watching on TV and I enjoyed the flicking back and forth between the two, especially on Sunday when I thought Minjee was going to have a chance.

I understand it to a point in which I’ve played in the competition and gone and supported my club team in brisbane (who are a lower level than North Star) in earlier rounds. We always get great support for ffa/Australia cup games. Might have been overreaching to expect that from all clubs.

Is there really such thing as 'The Magic of the Cup' In Australian football?

I didn’t expect a sold out crowd by any means but I thought that a few more people in and around North Star FC would make an appearance. North Star have 5/6 other senior sides who could have turned out to watch, and many more involved with the juniors at the club. It should have been seen by North Star to be their biggest game of the season but I only saw one person in the whole ground supporting them.

I think that’s absolutely a possibility. Can’t help but think that Stuart Broad is kicking his lips at Australia’s selection policy though.

I’d argue that picking him in Delhi was too many chances but they seem hellbent on letting him leave on his own terms unfortunately.

I also think that slow bowling will be decisive in the series. I think if maxwell gets a look he can strengthen the bowling, better than head/labuschagne

Agree that he’ll score plenty of runs this summer. I think a strong possibility is that he could be selected on the back of those runs and maybe axed mid way through the series if he fails in the first couple of games.

I think at this stage you might be right about hunt. I personally don’t rate pucovski all that highly but he seems to be the Australian selectors ‘chosen one.’ McDonald saying there’s no succession plan is worrying because I don’t think they can feasibly stick with Warner overseas again.

What lessons will Australia learn from the tour of Sri Lanka?

I agree, Pucovski was being groomed for the roll before all the concussions. But now it is a guarantee that if he plays test cricket the opposition will just try to bounce him out. It will be interesting to see how they go about it and if Street and shiny can continue there form into the new Shield Season
