I’m a cyclist. State Road Champion + 2 podiums and a few other wins. I have a BA in Journalism/Sociology and owned a main street photography studio in Tasmania up until 2012. Still love image making but now retired. Well semi retired in as much as I do a couple of half days as a postie here in country VIC. And been watching Origin from the beginning. Originally from Sydney but lived in VIC for over 20 years. A NSW and Storm supporter. Went to their first GF when they beat my brother’s team the Dragons. Under 19’s Blues slaying qld year after year. That talent filters through to the NRL. At some stage the pendulum will swing back to the Blues and we’ll see normal order restored! And… I’m a Rolex afficianado…

Yep. It was a ploy to gain an advantage… cheating. So many quick to accuse Munster who today has no cause to answer. So who does? The accuser.

No footy for a month and he’s been named for the GF. As a Melbourne guy, I’m happy with that.
As far as Cleary’s shoulder goes, I expect the Storm to treat him kindly. I’m sure they’ll only target one of them. He still has another that is fully functional!

Can’t wait for 25. The Storm are hitting peak form again. They’ll be stronger next year with the added fire power up front. And, significantly, the young players are really developing into attacking weapons to compliment the likes of Grant, Munster, Hughes…
Penrith on the other hand will come into the new season with a side with it’s absolute peak behind them.
In saying that, I’m not writing them off in tomorrow’s game. They are seriously skilled outfit.
The 4 peat is a distinct possibility.

He coughs up cheap possession constantly. I’m always on edge when he has the ball as he loses it on a regular basis. I do appreciate his go forward, but I think Bellamy has the position adequately covered.

The loss of NAS might not be as bad as what it appears. What he adds in go forward is a given… However, he drops the ball and gives away possession more than anyone else in the team.
As a Storm supporter, I’m not too concerned that he won’t be there . Aside from feeling sorry for him… nothing sucks like missing the GF!!!

Freddy was lambasted no end yet his win/loss record stands at 50/50. I’m in the minority in supporting Freddy’s return to the Origin coaching role and TBH, I was disappointed that he wasn’t the coach coming into 2024, though, with the benefit of hindsight, and a great Blues campaign behind us, it’s more than obvious that Madge was the man to get NSW firing to their full potential. He was unquestionably the coach that NSW needed.
Obviously, Fitler would have been the keenest of all observers who watched the Blues carve QLD up in the recent series. He’s a smart guy. No doubt he’ll see what was done and how it was done different to what he would have done.
I hope he pushes for the job. And I hope he gets it. It’s not all about the coach, the team which will be largely intact in 2025 will take their success into the next series and the experience gained under Madge won’t be lost, it remains as a strong foundation to build on moving forward.
