Yep. The failure to run around to the posts will cost us a game one day. It’s a lesson that shouldn’t have to be taught, which means Australian teams will need to learn it thrice to get it to stick.

The Wrap: Wallabies lay ghosts of Lyon to rest, TMO fools gold leads to absolute madness in All Blacks loss

You’d think so… but rugby tradition dictates otherwise. https://www.rugbyworld.com/tournaments/rugby-six-nations/why-do-the-home-team-wear-away-shirt-in-the-six-nations-150091

The Mercenaries. Isaac Moses would be throwing his players at that team 😂

Ah, the Johnnie Howard strut. Those were the good old days, eh!

The Wrap: Organised and brave Wallabies secure win for the ages as All Blacks’ engine room shuts out limp Ireland

No, the protocol is that they believe a try has been scored. BOK awarded a try based on seeing a clear grounding (you can see BOK do this at 1:56:35 on the Stan coverage). The comms between BOK, AR and TMO is then to say the on-field referee team believes a try has been scored, then the TMO would have to find conclusive evidence to prove otherwise.

'Blown away': Wallabies stun England with 84th minute try to keep Grand Slam dream alive in finest win in a decade

What on earth are you on about? BOK awarded the try live. Then it went to the TMO who sweeps every try, who then asked BOK to check. Subsequently, there was no conclusive evidence to overturn the decision, thus the try stood. The protocol in this situation was followed perfectly. Yet, still, that isn’t good enough for you? Goodness me… your last line completely contradicts everything else you’ve said.

Sucks to be England… they play the Boks next weekend! They’ll likely only have one win now, over Eddie Jones and Japan (though calling it now… watch for a shock result and the end of Borthwick).

“The Shute Shield (and all rugby) needs free-to-air coverage”.

Once again, you’re missing the point. There is no-one willing to pay for this, and certainly none willing to pay well. As it stands, rugby has the most F2A it has ever had in its history, and you’re still not happy.

The Wrap: Rugby’s card conflict still misses the point as All Blacks squeeze home in Twickenham thriller

India causing controversy on an Aussie tour? Well, I never.

Only thing missing is the BCCI ICC ensuring there’s no punishment…

Probably standing in the wrong carpark 😂

A feat he seems to have achieved with the Tahs, too! 😂

Ohhhhh boy… *grabs popcorn*

Are you seriously surprised? Bobby V has all but carried the pack this international season. But, like a classic Wallaby “supporter”, he has one average game and you’re all over him.

Wallabies Bledisloe ratings: Back-row stands up, Koroibete under pump to keep spot as bench delivers

Bucketloads of potential for sure. Keeping hold of talent is an Australian rugby problem, particularly with one less team (i.e., 35 less places). They’ll all have some problems in the future, which the Brums aren’t immune to. Similar to you, agree Brums are light in the centres and will likely struggle. This will impact Noah significantly as well.

He’d be an interesting fit at 12 as well tbh… dunno if it’d work, but I’d love to see it happen!

Yep. Liam has a bit of work to do with his throwing, but he’s a proverbial outhouse of a human.

Will you be attending Box Hill for the Dewar Finals, GP? The Footscray Dogs doing a number on Quins was outstanding; I just hope they haven’t played their final now. Teams are usually below their best the week after if/when they beat Quins.

The Wrap: Uncontested scrums a timely reminder that rugby needs to treasure what makes it distinctive

Of course he’s rushed. He has had zero front foot ball. Between a forward pack playing more like a retreating pack, and a halfback who seems determined to kick the grip off the back, how on earth is he supposed to do anything?!

Schmidt must back Noah - and Wallabies are blowing their best chance to win the Bledisloe Cup

Yep, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her with a more prominent test (i.e., two top tier one sides) come the November tests. Indeed, given she’s been exposed to Australia and South Africa already, there’s a chance she might be in control of one of their games. It seems there’s a bit of preparation like this (i.e., the referees we had for the July tests we now have for TRC).

The Wrap: The Rugby Championship arrives just in time to quell Olympics outrage

The average fan is not. But us enlightened ones will be sorted. The RFU referees do seem to do this TMO convo quite well.

*Side note* – Shall you be at Footscray or Quins this coming weekend? I don’t know where I am yet, but either ground will be a doozie!

The Wrap: The Rugby Championship arrives just in time to quell Olympics outrage

At least their approach to commentary is the same as rugby’s…! And not in a good way! Just waiting for Sonny ‘Bru’ to pop up at the synchronized swimming and provide us with a line like, ‘gee, youse hold ya breath for, like, ages, eh’

“I’m outraged.” – I’m sure the Chinese have some meds for that… 😛
