If they can get Fakasalia , Ashby, Terita and Shave back that will help heaps! Shave might be a whiles away but not sure about the others.

'We've got to get over it': Caslick opens up on Olympic heartbreak, reveals inspiration driving comeback

Awesome!
I can watch it here in Japan on my 7+ app on my firestick!
It’s been a great summer even though I’m in winter!
May the summer continue!

Free-to-air rights secured for Australia's tour of Sri Lanka

Get around it Chips!
With a late teens daughter and son who both play and love rugby, 7’s time length is perfect for their attention spans.
And especially for Auz Women’s rugby, the 7’s girls are great role models for girls who want to try follow that path.

Australia's fastest player set for long-awaited debut in Perth Sevens, ex-captain returns for women

Yep, I agree. Mcdermott doesn’t seem to be that good at losing either. Which is not always a bad thing but in his case he looks like he has spat the dummy in some of his post game press conferences. 6,7or 8 for me

'Too much respect for Joe': Kiss commits to Queensland as Wallabies coaching circus continues

As I’ve said before, as an Aussie living here in Japan, the League One competition is fun to watch and with Hoops returning that makes it even better for me.
Heaps of world class players in every team.
The 7’s experience shred a few Kilos of Hoops so who knows, that might even help improve his game and make him more mobile.

'Bit of a Hail Mary': Former Wallaby skipper comes out of retirement to sign new pro deal

Stan works great from an Amazon Firestick if you want the control.I highly recommend it. I work in Japan speeds though, so the quality is very good.
Good luck!

Rugby Australia on track to confirm broadcast extension with Nine, NZRU set to cop multimillion-dollar downgrade

And yes, Konstas probably brought in 10’s of thousands of viewers to test cricket. I loved his approach, but needs to watch those loose shots.
If he can keep his average up, Cricket Australia will be very happy with his appointment.

Malcolm Conn: Webster and Konstas bring the spirit the Aussies desperately need to rejuvenate line-up

Nice one.
Being born into Geelong in AFL, moved to the Gold Coast as a young fella and eventually got into league, moved to Japan at 26 to play Union and have loved the Reds and Wallabies for over 24 years.
Being a Victorian and having Melbourne as my 2nd team from a far, it is sad to read the smug treatment from the seemingly NSW bias Rugby Australia.
I’ve just gotta be happy with the rugby mad loving country Japan is and enjoy the great sport it is and hope Australia will sort it out.

Sydney to host 2027 World Cup final with Melbourne shut out of tournament after Rebels debacle - report

He was great! Very good in the field and bowled really well in random with Boland especially. Unlucky to not get a wicket in debut.

Relentless Boland rampant on SCG seamer, third umpire under fire over contentious calls as Aussies rip through India

I so hope Konstas rattles them Indians even further tomorrow.
If he can get a 50 or even a ton would be so satisfying!
The Indian fans hate him and what went on before stumps, it’s him vs India at the moment. We need someone to back him up. So good!

RA killing off more supporters of the game we love?
I hope there is logic around this.
Melbournites deserve better!

It’s interesting you call it a “deformity”
That’s like calling someone from Australia with blond hair, or red hair and freckles different.
I moved to Japan over 20 years ago, and through teaching and coaching rugby I came across the amazing flexibility they have in their arms, legs, fingers and plenty of body parts.
I noticed especially around their elbow joints in where their arms can bend well beyond the point of horizontal.
My son who has my Japanese wife’s darker skin color doesn’t have the flexible joints, but my daughter who has my skin color has the flexible joints.
Anyway, I’m guessing in the Asian DNA there is the same trait throughput which can benefit them in areas, such as ice skating, gymnastics and in cricket. Just a thought I’ve had for years and had to get it out.

Ilona Maher is changing rugby forever - here’s why you should pay attention to her

Yes, Stan for me too! It’s good for me from being here in Japan.

Billionaire-backed sports streamer buys Foxtel for $3.4 billion as RA enters broadcast deal end game

I’m very happy with Stan, and I’m very worried when News Corp and Rugby Union are mentioned.
They have done the dirty on Union over the years so I want stick with Stan. I would like cricket, AFL and league too though.

Cheers! Yes, I just looked it up and then just before the ‘24 season he badly dislocated his elbow and tore tendons and had to get surgery. Apparently he made it back and was playing well around July in a WA league.

Force Pressure Points: Cron’s cattle arrive, but expect a big shift if the West is to rise

Really? Sorry, I just knew he was injured and didn’t know anymore than that. What kind of injury?

Force Pressure Points: Cron’s cattle arrive, but expect a big shift if the West is to rise

It sounds like Roy and Harbhajan were ready to move on and it sounds like they did indeed in a classic Roy way! Great to hear a friendship came out of it as life is too short to hold grudges, and then them going on to winning a championship together which can be huge for any sport lover and especially a professional.
Good story!
Roy was a legend!

How a bottle of Bundy Rum healed ugly monkeygate rift between Andrew Symonds and Harbhajan Singh

What’s happened to Reesjan Pasitoa? I know he was injured but surely he’s going to get some game time in the spine this year along with Donaldson and Stewart.
He is at the age where he should be hitting his peak after coming in so young and he’s also been surrounded by very experienced mentors/rival teammates over about 4 years now.

Force Pressure Points: Cron’s cattle arrive, but expect a big shift if the West is to rise

I disagree.
We are very light in the centers and Kerevi is well needed next year. Skelton too.
Not sure about Koriobete, but he has proven his worth many times in the Wallabies jersey.

Pressure on as crucial Lions test starts for Wallabies hopefuls, league star set for rugby debut

I’m looking forward to the Japan season. The D Rocks and Panasonic teams had their preseason training camps here in Aoshima, Miyazaki.
Last Friday I helped cook a bbq for the Panasonic lads and they are looking big, fit and ready to go. I chatted with Robbie about the Aus World Cup campaign and other things and as usual him and all the lads were top blokes.
Rugby at Christmas in Japan is full steam ahead.
I hope all the Aussie guys do well!

Yes, that info is correct but things have changed somewhat. The Japanese have focused more on kicking over the last 15 years. Before that, there weren’t many good kickers out of hand style here, but with more foreigners playing over here during that time, and probably Social network video’s popping up, the Japanese have picked up on that and have improved the kicking side of the game which probably has created more kicks to touch for territory and less quick taps.
I played Aussie rules in Auz before I played Union here 25 years ago, I was shocked at the poor techniques of the kickers, so I helped out some players and also coached my kids and their teammates how important kicking is.
It is still fast paced at times though and the skills which are worked on regularly are very good.

Prospecting for gold: Who stands out in Australia's next generation of front-rowers?

Cheers Chips!
I’s great to see the young ones coming through.
Here in Japan, 95% or more of the talented rugby players who continue after high school go to university. There is probably about 40 rugby universities spread throughout the country, therefore the talent is kept in the system, while getting an education and continuing their rugby aspirations.
At a Home and Away season game two weeks ago, Waseda vs Meiji drew a crowd of 40,000 and the games are televised on a weekly basis.
The National Uni finals started on the weekend and run through to the end of January.
Rugby for me never ends!

Prospecting for gold: Who stands out in Australia's next generation of front-rowers?

Looking up and seeing an Eva Kepani sized woman running at some of these ladies who have only played AFL, touch or 7’s might prove daunting. But they are definitely going to have the fitness and the professionalism so I can’t wait to watch the Super W.
Our young guns who have recently just started our next exciting wave of Wallaroos Faitala Moleka #10 and Caitlin Holse #15 will definitely want to hold their spots in the team, so the competition for the 23 just got crazy real!
Suddenly the depth of this team could be very, very good!
Go Ladies!

Wallaroos' World Cup boost as NINE sevens stars make play to feature at tournament in unique move

Yes, Ashby is well needed. Fakasalia is dearly missed as well and also Kaitlin Shave. They would be very handy right now.
I like the looks of Heidi Dennis. I think once she gets her fitness and body right for 7’s , she could be very good.
