After going nine games unbeaten, the Heat have lost two games in a row and look short on confidence.

Having earned the right to have two chances of making the BBL final, they will need their top four to get the majority of the runs on what will be a tough Carrara wicket to start on, which cost them in the Qualifier final against the Sixers.

The Heat’s bowling has been almost flawless this tournament, but you would hope they haven’t saved their worst for what could be their last game of the tournament.

The Strikers shocked everyone by loading their team with spin and exposing the Scorchers’ inability to score against i at Perth, of all places.

With the Gold Coast wicket set to aid the slow bowlers, you would expect the Strikers to stick with a team that has five frontline options to strangle the Heat with spin.

Prediction

The Strikers love chasing, but they also showed against the Scorchers that in finals, batting first is huge.

Both teams will want to bat first in the Challenger and put scoreboard pressure on the other.

I think this is too close a game to call; whoever bats first will win, and fly out to Sydney for the BBL13 final.
